Had a pretty good run in the Montly Monster Million got 635th for $500, and more importantly a freeroll into the Monster Grand Finale where 1st place will be like 3.5 million. I also played the sunday million on PP for $215, nothing too exciting happened. Pushed from A8dd from SB bb insta calls with K7ss I hold to double up to 5k chips. Blinds wore me down to 3600 then I stop and go with Q7dd on T 5d 6d flop he obv calls with KQ gg me.

FINALLLLLLLLLLLLLYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Chopped up a $44 MTT 3-Way leaving me with $2,430 and oficially 3rd place. I'm VERY glad I have some confidence leading into the 1,000,000 Dollar Monster Freeroll Tomorrow, and the Sunday Million $215 Guaranteed where 1st will be ~$150,000 for each. But I'm just so pumped I finally got back on track with my goal. I won one race on the FT bubble to knock out the guy in 11th, and then I won an important race with AJ against 33 when there was 4 left to knock him out. After that we chopped it up the hand after.

+18 yesterday final 2 tabled 3 tourneys *sigh*, today I just played a 22 40k guar. my 77 ran into KK in a LP all in steal, in 33 i check/raised all in with 2 overcard+ flush draw and missed everything, and I'm still going albeit under average stack in 109 2k added. After that I'm done and just ready to play PP Million Dollar Monster Freeroll tomorrow. Then Sunday I'll be playing sunday million... also for some reason lately I've been listening to a lot of older music while playing; such as my new favorite song The Eagles "Hotel California", Billy Joel "Piano Man", Elton John "Rocket Man", Whitesnake "Here We Go Again", Tom Petty "Saving Grace", Kansas "Dust In the Wind", Kenny Rogers "The Gambler", and also some Queen. I don't know maybe it's a change in my poker style along with preferences.

I'm about halfway done with Harrington on Hold 'Em quite simply it's AMAZING!!!! I would recommend it to anyone wishing to improve their MTT game, and it just kills TJ's and McEvoy's NLHE MTT book Championship NL and PLHE.

Slightly dissapointing there. I ran over a couple tables in the 40k 109 but lost a HUGE race with AKdd against 22. Donked my chips in super tuesday, and turned a small profit 3 tabling 1/2 NL.

To update thursday night, I played super thursday, and 2k added 109 busting in both, then I FT'd a 33 for 7th and 528, and a 44 for 10th and 134 *sigh*, I still ended up red 58 due to damn cash games.

Friday night... went partying to this like ski house *I've no idea, but the party was sick and guy to girl ratio was like 2:1 compared to 20:1 frat houses*. Didn't play at all, and kept to my goals.

Saturday...I'm not sure if I'm going to play at all, I'm going out tonite again partying. I'm definately playing sunday million on party tomorrow though.

*Update* Got smahed on saturday night too just played monster qualifier for $50, and the freeroll to the montly 1,000,000 going on next saturday.

Sunday I woke up at like 2:30 with a hangover, and just ate junk food all day, because dining hall closed when I realized I wanted to eat. Sunday million started at 4:30 we barely got ITM at 7:30 where i busted. At least I finally took $300 from it though.

After the horror of last night only a small portion of it continued today. I pretty much killed the cash tables at 1/2 making about $550 in little over 3 hours, but failed to money in a MTT. I played the $162 super tuesday, $109 40k guar., $22 40k guar, and $109 2k added. Most of which were terrible brutal beats, but at least I came out ahead at +$34.

Conversation with the Man the Myth the Legend...

Due to his right to privacy I feel posting martine23's AIM screenname here is unethical due to the fact he would probably receive 100,000 stake me please IM's; however, I did speak with him through that media. I've gathered that he's living on an off campus apartment in state-college, and that the only games he even remembers playing are 4 years ago in east halls every wednesday... I will follow up this lead in the hopes of crushign some n00bs for easy cash, but I digress. He also stated that online poker has more money to be made than live, following in accordance with my supposition obviously disregarding the big 300/600 nl and 4k/8k mixed. I will speak with him again, and hope to worship the ground he walks on in an attempt to gain tutilege from the MML.

Tackling the Supers... I will be playing super thursday beginning at 9 pm on party poker a $162 buy in event, and see how that goes. This time I will try not to overthink any hands. These are all from the Super Thursday Tournament. I got off to a sick start, then leveled out midway through and finally just bottomed out. With 10 bb's I checkraised a 965 flop with 88 and got called by QT I obv busted 201.

In search of the man, the myth, the legend... So apparently the highest roller around campus goes by the online screen name of martine23 on pokerstars, and by the same alias on multiple other sites. As I was strolling along up east college avenue my sight was instantly drawn to a rather tall fellow wearing a black pokerstars.com tee-shirt (now I don't see many of these as fashion statements so I'm assuming he's an actual player), also with an iPod. He had dark hair, and was tanned, so I'm making the supposition he wasn't a fish, and actually played. My friend supplied me with a pic of the elusive martine23 at a cash game, and alas twas not him I saw.

Also going on today last night in the 40k guaranteed I met a kid from PSU main who was a freshman. Met up with him today in West Commons for dinner (blows every other commons away), seems like a cool kid will play again with him shortly, and also search for a live game at the Penn State University.
